Brain Dumpity Dump

  • I took a bit of a blogging hiatus. I swear it wasn't intentional. I'll blame super needy & sick baby that I held for almost 3 weeks. I know one thing: he's lucky he's cute.
  • Speaking of Griff, we have introduced solids. I decided I wanted to do more of a baby led weaning approach with Griffin when it comes to solids. So far, he's doing pretty good. He has been grabbing at our food for weeks & he seems to enjoy eating his "big boy food." This boy will manhandle a banana & he's obsessed with clementines. OBSESSED.While he loves to eat real chunks of food, he refuses to touch them. Prince Griff still expects me to feed him. Guess we'll do our own version of BLW right now!
  • We are re-sleep training this week. OH MY WORD. The second time around is much worse than the first. It's been hard & I'm super thankful of all the mamas on Twitter who reassure me that a little crying is worth sleep for the next 18 years.
  • Grayson is talking and saying the FUNNIEST things all of a sudden. I think 2 is so hard, but so much fun. He makes me laugh all the time!
  • I bought the new Chris Tomlin album on iTunes and if you never listen to another word I say, listen to this: GO BUY IT NOW. We've been having some may-jah car worship sessions lately. It's awesome!

We are working on getting Connor from his sleeper to his crib and it's horrible. He will take his mid day nap in it fine, sleeps 3 hours but at night, wakes every 30 minutes. I'm at a loss!

I tell you what sleep deprivation is what makes motherhood so hard. I agree sleep training sucks! Your little guy is so cute! Glad he is feeling better:)

We had to re-sleep train Cameron, too, and it was not fun, but it's so worth it now! We had to WAKE him this morning for day care!!!

How many teeth does Griffin have? We are trying to get Cameron to try some real food (we have been feeding him purees for 2 months), but he doesn't like the texture, and he only has 2 bottom teeth, so he can't "bite" anything.

I hate the Griff has been sick. Poor guy. I never thought to try clementines. Guess I need to add it to my list!

Good luck with the sleep training. This too shall pass...right?

Mamma I do agree baby Griff is cute! So sweet & adorable...He reminds me off G when he was a wee tiny baby boy. Good luck on the sleep training & the whole changing of foods! I got my fingers crossed for you :) Hang in there...
