I've said it once, I'll say it again: Etsy is dangerous. I love lots of things that they have...but with a baby on the way, I really love lots of the baby things! If I was having a girl, I would be in trouble. I decided to compile my own little Etsy wishlist.

Eek! It's almost football season and I will be delivering a baby this year. However, next year, we will be in the Grove & baby needs some cute clothes! This cute jon jon is made by A Stitch in Tyme.

I really want these block letters or something similar on the shelf above the changing table/dresser. They are SO cute!! Go check out Aunt JJ's Attic and look at all her different designs...so many fun ones to choose from!

Seersucker on a chubby baby boy? Does it get any better than that?? Sew So Sweet Boutique has lots of cute clothes for kids. Like I said earlier, if I was having a girl, I would be in trouble...it is hard to resist a cute jon jon. It is REALLY hard to resist a monogrammed little dress.

I saved the best for last. Have I mentioned my new obsession with anything sock monkey? Well, I am indeed obsessed. I need to have this. That baby isn't so bad either, but I really do need that hat! Nora and Finn...you may be my new best friend for making this hat.

a flashback on the fourth!

Happy birthday, America!

I have no plans for the 4th this year so I decided to take a walk down memory lane at some past 4th of July moments!

one summer home from college...maybe I was 20? eh, who knows. Carl and I..and some of our other high school friends..went to see fireworks in Roswell and it POURED. party foul. big time. no fireworks that year!
so instead we took fun pictures. this is one of my favorite take-a-funny-picture games: shake your head like crazy. great pictures every. single. time.

this is why I love my friends. they make me literally fall down laughing.

Blair. She is Chelsea Handler 2.0. She will make you laugh until cry with just about everything she says. Los Angeles stole her AND Carly...boo hiss!

Hah! Best picture ever! This was the summer after we graduated from high school. We had a cookout with a bunch of our friends...Kemble and Phil were the "grillmasters." They totally rocked the USA tanks complete with jorts. It was amazing.

Most of the time we went to Indian Hills country club to watch fireworks & we had to bring a Publix sub. yum! Teeny 18 year old babies!

My one summer/4th of July in Oxford...I was 21.

Ben had worked for TNT and got tons of huge fireworks for Margie, Aaron, and I to watch. We went to an empty field in Oxford and got a private fireworks show--awesome!

lake memories!

ahhhh....Swine Lake. Aka: Phil's ridiculous lakehouse where many many many of my senior year/college memories are. Can you believe that these guidos made themselves look like this before Jersey Shore?! So ahead of their time.

Fireworks were always quite frightening at Swine Lake as they ended up being shot at people instead of in the air. But, no injuries thus far! Hmm..that I know of anyway. I would go home after this trip and get the WORST case of poison ivy ever.

Remember last year?? We spent it at Crockett Park with Mary and Justin Bobby!

29 weeks

*How far along?: 29 weeks

*How big is your baby?: a head of cabbage..sorry for slacking in the veggie department! He is about 16-17 inches long and weighs about 2.9lbs!
*Total weight gain?: 9 lbs.
*Sex: BOY! Grayson Benjamin:)

*Maternity clothes: I am getting really sick of wearing the same things all the time. AND whoever invented the spandex panel in maternity pants was not thinking of us pregnant girls down south in the summer...I may as well wrap my body in saran wrap and go sit in a sauna.

*Stretch marks: None yet! I have been lathering cocoa butter on a couple times a day and then use my tummy rub at night. Seems to be doing the trick!

*Sleep: Just depends...some nights I am really sore and other nights I am fine!
*Best moment this week: My mom finished the curtains for the nursery and we love them!!

*Food cravings: anything cold! I am loving Purity Sweet Lemon popsicles and FroYo:)

*Labor signs: not yet...back & ribs start hurting randomly throughout the day

*Belly button in or out: is flat an option? it looks unbelievably weird right now.

*What I miss: vino...can you tell I went to a vineyard this week? :)

*What I'm looking forward to: organizing the nursery!

here i am!

I'm alive!...and no, I did not fall off the face of the earth. Life in the May household has been in overdrive for the past week! Here is a peek into what we have been up to...

While we were in Atlanta for the baby shower, we went to the Braves game. I had not been in like 3 years--unacceptable! By the way...being pregnant at a Braves game in the summer=boiling hot. Here's to hoping I didn't overcook the babe!

After the baby shower, my mom, aunt June, and Robyn came back to Nashvegas with us! We had a few fun-filled days exploring Nashville and Franklin and eating way too much yummy food! Here are me, my mama, and Robyn by the Cumberland River in front of LP Field.

The sisters had lots of fun roaming Broadway!

On Wednesday, we went to Arrington Vineyards and had a picnic. It was SO nice outside...much better than the typical 97 degrees we have had for the past couple of weeks.

Arrington is only like 10 minutes away from our house & is owned by Kix Brooks. Haven't seen him there yet! Maybe once Brooks & Dunn call it quits at the end of the summer he'll be around more... :)

After the Lousiana crew flew back to Baton Rouge, my mom stayed to sew curtains for Grayson's room! They turned out SO cute!! She slaved for 2 days and they look perfect:) Thanks mom! I'll post pictures this week.

I've been taking it easy now that the house it back to normal...I was a tired girl after our busy week! Stay tuned for the 29 week post tonight...

This past Saturday was our baby shower in Georgia...it was so fun! My 2nd family, The Barry's, hosted the shower and everything was fabulous!

I have been a decorating/get-my-house-dunzo fool this summer. I know I won't be able to do it once the baby gets here so I am using my summer wisely! For the past year and a half our guest bedrooms have been a uber-boring shade of builder grade tan. B O R I N G. Totally not me. Ben and I have been busy little workers getting these 2 rooms in order...and folks, here is the first look at (almost) complete guest bedrooms!

Guest bedroom #1. I shall call this room: Mocha Frappacino. Yay no-sew curtains! I bought that fabric at Hobby Lobby and and just used some no-sew iron on tape to hem them. Voila! Oh, and by the way, that lamp was courtesy of Ross for a total of $14.
Finally hung up my little DIY art project!
This duvet cover came from Target a few months ago and was on clearance for a ridiculously low price. I grabbed it and didn't look back! I'm on the hunt for something to make a headboard...antique doors/shutters/any ideas?

This room makes me SO happy now! I got it in my head last week that I wanted it painted and I wanted it painted now. We have had the bedding since we got married & I love its beachy-ness.

Wal-Mart lamp purchased with gift card=$16. Yes please. Had to add a little bit of Oxford in this room...I love me some Old Taylor Grocery:)

I was planning on making drop cloth curtains for this room...however, Marshalls saved the day! These window panels have the same linen look and were (drum roll please) $7.00 each! I feel as though I stole them...love me a deal!

Now, all we need are some guests!

Ellie and Huddy are ready for the visitors coming on Sunday...my mom, aunt June, and cousin Robyn! They will be the first guests in our new rooms...I love that every room in the house is finally painted and it is feeling complete!
