just love

The world we live in has me so scared for my children. No, I don't leave our house in fear of what may happen. It is the thought of what this dark world will look like when our kids are grown ups and probably raising their own families that terrifies me. I can't imagine it getting any worse...but it does.

The attack in Orlando has rocked me. I could not believe it when I read what had happened. Then I saw their faces. I read little parts about their lives. They became real people and not just a number. It breaks my heart.

We live in a dark and fallen world. A world full of evil and hate. I know I can't personally change the world but I can certainly try....and I will start with my children.

If there is one thing I want my kids to do in life, it is love.
LOVE BIG.
Love like Jesus loves; that kind of love has no boundaries.
Show compassion.
I don't care what color they are, who they love, what their beliefs are. I want my children to show them love. It is what we are called to do.

Maybe, just maybe, this generation of kids will grow up to be world-changers. Love always wins; it already has.
